Guido & His 2nd Cousin
Guido & His 2nd Cousin was formed in 2018 and features Greg Fontana on guitar and vocals and Brian Sagrafena on drums. Greg Fontana, AKA Guido, & Brian Sagrafena are 2nd cousins.
Brian and Greg’s grandfathers were brothers who emigrated to Half Moon Bay from Italy in the 1940’s. The family farmed artichokes, sprouts, and livestock in coastal California, and the Fontana family is still at it today.
Greg wrote many of the songs featured on The Lucky Dozen album on tree stumps and rocks while growing up amongst rural agriculture life in the hills of Half Moon Bay.
Brian heard his 2nd cousin’s striped down acoustic songs and teamed up with Greg to produce the music that developed into Guido & His 2nd Cousin’s first album, The Lucky Dozen.
